Clinical Laboratory Technologist

who are seeking an exciting opportunity to join its team of highly motivated and energized professionals.

The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas. Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.  Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must be licensed by the state as a General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory 
  • Current BLS required
  •  Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification.


  Qualifications, Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

No less than 3 years of recent related experience in clinical setting preferred;

Experience with phlebotomy a must.

According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain  

      additional specific certifications.

Two years lab training or experience in the non-waived specialty required


Language Skills                                             

Ability to read and write in English, analyze, and interpret written company policies, manuals, protocols and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports in a concise and organized manner.   Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, managers, patients, peer employees, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills                                              

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area and volume. Able to  calculate figures and numbers related to the field of Nursing.

 Reasoning Ability                                            

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 Computer Skills                                             

Basic computer skills required.
